Jodi (my wife) asked me tonight if there were any new pictures from the breeder we’re purchasing our dog from. The dog was born on New Years Eve and we are picking him up in February, so we like to get photo updates.

So, to be funny, I googled “world’s ugliest dog“… and BAM!

The reaction was great.

There are just SO MANY ways to build links… I just may have to do a “World’s Ugliest [whatever]” contest…

What “worlds ugliest” ideas do you have that could generate links for your site?

As an animal activist, I find this post insensitive and disgusting. This poor dog suffered during his lifetime, and, ironically, he died two months before your “creative” link baiting idea. Well I vote you the “world’s ugliest scam artist”

From the Telegrah: World’s ugliest dog dies after cancer battle

A one-eyed, three-legged dog that won the title of world’s ugliest canine last summer has died after losing a battle with skin cancer. Gus, a nine-year-old Chinese crested dog from St Petersburg, Florida, captured the hearts of judges at the 20th Annual World’s Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in northern California.

The dog, which was bald except for a white tuft on the top of its head, came from humble origins. Gus had one eye, after losing the other years ago in a fight with a cat, and hobbled through life on three legs after the fourth was amputated because of a skin tumour.

The dog was rescued by Jeanenne Teed and her daughter Janey when it was a puppy after they learned that it was being kept in a crate inside someone’s garage.

When her pet won the contest in June, Ms Teed said the prize money would be put toward the dog’s radiation treatment.

That sucks for the dog… but I think you missed the entire point of the post.

I LOVE my dog… and other animals… that doesn’t take away from the fact that it was comical that when I showed her this picture when she wanted to see a picture of the dog that we were getting.

I have had many people in my life pass away, but the dumb things that they did or the weird ways that they appeared don’t suddenly become unfunny because they died.

Thanks for reading… and FYI… there was no “scam” here… it was simply intended to be a light, comical post.

I love animals, obviously this dog had troubles but as man’s best friend wouldn’t he have wanted us to laugh? I was not offended in the least. Well break’s over, back to baby seal clubbing.
JUST KIDDING :) I really am a rain forest logger.
